KVPY exam is to be held to test the analytical ability and understanding of candidates rather than their factual knowledge. There’s no specific syllabus for this exam, students must cover all the topics of physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology of class 10th, 12th and 1st year of B.Sc, B.S, B.stat.., B.Math.., Int. M.Sc or M.S depending on the stream for which they have applied.
Application of this exam must be done online

What to Carry with KVPY Admit Card 2021?
Candidates appearing for KVPY 2021 are advised to carry these documents:

Candidates have the option to choose from the four options mentioned in the list of KVPY 2021 exam center while filling the KVPY application form

KVPY 2021 Exam Pattern
Here we are providing the Exam Pattern of KVPY 2021 examination:

Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted online (Computer Based Test) mode.

Date: KVPY 2021 is scheduled on November 7 in two shifts, for stream SA 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and for stream SB/SX 2 PM to 5 PM.

Medium of Question Paper: The question paper will be both in English & s well as in Hindi Language.

Type of Questions: It is a multiple choice type of question paper. All the questions are compulsory to attempt in stream SA. There is an option to attempt any three sections in Part I & any two sections in Part II in Stream SB/SX.

Duration of Exam: The duration of the paper is 3 hours.

Sections: The question paper will contain two sections: Part I & Part II, having four sections in both the parts.

Total Marks: The paper will be of 100 marks.
KVPY 2021 Marking Scheme

The question papers of both the Stream SA & SB/SX will be of 100 marks.

In Part I of both the Stream, one mark will be given for each correct response and 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect response.

In Part II of Stream SA and Stream SB/SX, for each correct answer, two marks will be given to the candidates & 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
Important topics to study

Physics- Physics section has 21 easy questions out of the 40. Electrodynamics, Optics and Mechanics are the most important topics to study for the exam.

Topics in Chemistry- The chemistry section is the easiest of all the sections in the exam. There are around 18 easy questions. Most of the questions are from Inorganic Chemistry (Class XII), Organic Chemistry (Class XII) and Physical Chemistry (Class XI)

Mathematics- Maths is the trickiest section in the exam as claimed by the students. It has 19 difficult questions. Dominating topics in this section are Calculus (Differential and Integral), Definite Integration and Binomial Theorem

Biology- Biology section is moderate in the exam with 32 questions of moderate difficulty level. Molecular Genetics and Biomolecules are the most important topics in the exam.
