NEET 2021- live updates on date and application process

The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 rules.  The application for the same will begin from 5 pm today (13/07/2021) from 5pm through the NTA website(s).  Candidates will find the NEET 2021 registration link on the official websites – nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in. While declaring NEET (UG) 2021 date, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also said: “In order to ensure social distancing, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198.”

Mr. Pradhan also said that face masks will be provided to all the applicants at the centre and students will be allowed entry to the exam centers in a staggered manner. “Contactless registration, proper sanitization, seating with social distancing etc. will be ensured,” he added.

The process in the NEET 2021 application form comprises of five stages – NEET registration; filling of application; uploading of documents including scanned photographs, mark sheet and certificates; payment of fee and printout of the confirmation page.

Along with NEET application form, the NTA will also release the information brochure. The information brochure contains details of syllabus, eligibility criteria, reservation, examination fees and more.

NEET 2021 eligibility criteria for NRI/Foreign students

NRI/Foreign students should have passed an examination equivalent to Class 12 qualification in their country. Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have passed the theory and practical test in each of these subjects as well as English.
