MHT CET is a common state level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. For admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses such as B.Tech/ B.E, Pharma D and B.Pharma offered by government of Maharashtra at colleges in Maharashtra.
The examination will be conducted in number of centers across Maharashtra as well as outside Maharashtra by Online mode (Computer Based Test).
The exam will comprise of three papers. Paper 1: Mathematics, Paper 2: Physics and Chemistry and Paper 3: Zoology and Botany. Questions will be in MCQ format and the duration will be 90 minutes for each paper.
Eligibility criteria
All aspirants who have appeared for HSC examinations or any equivalent examinations and have Indian nationality are eligible for this exam.

All India candidates:Â The candidate having Indian nationality is eligible to give this exam.
Minority candidate:Â The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.
Eligibility for disable candidate:Â In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disability is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates, provided they submit a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature.
Admissions to mining engineering course: Female candidates are not permitted for admission to Mining Engineering course.
Paper pattern:
- The questions of MHT-CET exam will be according Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education system.
- 20% weightage will be given to the questions from Std 11th syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from Std 12th syllabus while setting the question paper
- Negative marking will not be there.
- Questions will mainly be application based.
- MHT-CET will be conducted in two groups i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The question papers are MCQ based, having 4 options and the question.
