What should students do in their free time?

A lot of students now a day’s struggle to get free time, especially when exams and mocks are coming up. But it is very important to take breaks while studying; even your brain needs some rest.

Let’s discuss about the things you can do in your free time/breaks from revision so that you can use that time in more productive way.

Educational things to do in your free time:

If you’re stressed and worried about the exams and don’t want to do something fun, you can always try the options mentioned below:-

  • Read a book

    It is not necessary to read an educational book. It could be a story book that you've picked from the library. Just by reading one sequence a day will help you gain good knowledge and you can even utilize your free time doing something productive. It will also improve your vocabulary which will in turn help you during your exams.

  • Watch historical drama of an insightful documentary

    I am not asking you to binge all historical movies, instead you can watch something fascinating that benefits your knowledge in some way

  • Solve quizzes

    Honestly, this is so fun! You can find quizzes for everything. If you're struggling in memorizing some concept try to learn it in a quiz format. It can be an excellent way to revise your portion.

  • TED talks

    They are and exceptional way to learn something unusual, related to school or not. Now a day’s you can easily find TED talks on YouTube.

Non educational things you can do in your free time:

Doing educational things might be tiring sometimes. Try doing something fun and exciting. Below are some of my personal favorite free time activities- they don’t even take much efforts!

  • Meet up with friends

    This is such an easy task, pick up your phone and arrange a meet up; decide a place and you're good to go. Just a coffee with your friends can make you feel fresh.

  • Play games

    You can always play games with your siblings or just some computer games. Either way, games can keep you occupied for hours and can be great way to relax yourself.

  • Meditate

    Meditation can help you relax and keep calm. Meditation has been around for centuries and is helpful to relax you and detox every day.

  • Take up a new hobby

    It can be anything: cooking, singing, sewing, baking, acting, writing, reading etc. All this recreational activities helps you in modulating stress.

  • Join a sports club

    Sports are in a way long time commitments. You will be a part of team that will rely you to turn up for the practice/training sessions and for the matches too. You can try: • Swimming
    • Cricket
    • Football
    • Badminton
    • Hockey
    • Wrestling
    • Horse riding
    • Ballet, etc.
