NEET UG to have optional questions for the first time

NEET UG 2021 for admissions to medical courses will give options. Till last year NEET exam consisted 180 compulsory questions, from this year NTA announced there will be 200 questions out of which 180 have to be attempted.

All the four subjects- physics, chemistry, botany and zoology will be divided into section A and section B, section A comprises of 35 compulsory questions and section B consists of 15 questions out of which attempting 10 questions are compulsory. Since it is a last minute change made by NTA, students have asked for more clarity.

The total marks will remain 720, but reading 20 extra questions to choose the best ones will likely consume more time.

Students have never practiced new pattern, from last 1 or 2 years they solve 180 questions in 180 minutes. This new pattern will affect their time management. The organizations have written to NTA about 10 model question paper for practice with OMR sheets. This last minute change has a great impact on students.  Students have to change their time management strategy.
