CET Entrance For 11th Admission

Maharashtra Government declared that CET exams are likely to be help in last week of July or first week of August. CET is going to be optional, it’s not compulsion.

You must be thinking, ‘If it’s not compulsory then why do we appear for CET?’ ‘What are the benefits that we get after appearing for CET?’

Priority for FYJC admission will be given to the students who are appearing for CET, while others to get admission on the basis of their SSC merit score.

According to the state government’s official notice, the students appearing for CET will be given priority in all junior colleges. In the phase 1 of admissions process, the students who have appeared for CET will get admissions on the basis of their merit score. After the admissions of students who have appeared for CET, the remaining vacancies in colleges will be open to the students who have not appeared for the CET.

Most of the students are not aware about common entrance exam. You must be wondering about the curriculum of this exam, right?

The common entrance exam for FYJC admissions will be an objective paper, based on class 10 syllabus. The question paper will contain questions of 25 marks each on English, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences. This exam will just last for two hours, will be based on an O.M.R and will be taken offline.

WHY CET?

The state government had to take this call as the class 10 board exams had been cancelled and an alternative way of admissions to FYJC had to be explored. This exam will be common for the students of all Boards (State Boards, CBSE, CISCE, All International Boards, etc.)
